JOHN PARSONS PHOTOGRAPHY

As a child I spent my summers in the heart of the mountains where I developed a love for animals and the majestic awe of God's creation. Here, I challenged myself to notice the small, overlooked mysteries that surrounded me within nature. I observed relationships forged between the tiniest creatures of the forest and listened to the whisper of small streams as water they stumbled over rocks in their paths. Often, I found my spirit lost in the freedom of the wind and the rhythm of its breathing as it passed through the pines above.

To take a picture is to freeze a moment in time forever. Sometimes I wish I could return to the serenity of my childhood summers with an old Polaroid camera - just to photograph those many moments of bliss I experienced as a boy. But life has a way of moving faster than we'd like - lucky for me, I am now a big boy with a camera :)

As a photographer, I like to say I make memories for a living. This is because at the click of a button, and just the right angle, I have the  power to capture a memory and the beauty of those simple, invaluable experiences that tell the story of our lives. Pictures allow us to recreate emotions, reminisce, and reconnect with love ones who have joined us along the journey of life. They remind us of who we are and where we've come from.

I was first introduced to photography as a teenager. It was then that I combined my eye for creativity, my love for God's creation, and my love for people to bless family and friends with the gift of frozen moments. Though my experience as a photographer is rooted in landscape and nature photography, I have extensive experience in wedding, marketing/advertising, portrait, food and sports photography.

Wedding photography is a personal favorite, because I have the opportunity to photograph the sensation of peaked emotions in a dynamic, personable atmosphere. Every couple is different, thus making every wedding an exclusively unique experience. To capture the power of these precious moments requires an authentic, intentional understanding of you and your partners vision and personality. It also requires an element of creativity with the perfect blend of time and space awareness.

Working with people is always an amazing experience! From kids, to adults, to Grampa and Grandma, we all have something special that sets us apart from our neighbor next to us. Herein lies my true passion photography, and my calling as an individual.
